Campos pitched in relief and mostly struggled, although he did have a very good K rate.

2019
DSL:  5-2-1, 4.57 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 43.1 IP, 3.1 BB/9, 6.6 K/9

The Pirates sent Campos back to the DSL for a second season.  He showed much better control, although his K rate also dropped sharply.

Campos opened the season pitching in relief in the FCL and he dominated through five appearances.  The Pirates moved him up to Bradenton and he continued pitching in relief except for one start.  He had more trouble there, although he pitched well at times and still had a good K rate.

Campos didn’t appear anywhere until he joined the FCL team in mid-June.  He saw brief time at three different levels, and didn’t put up especially good numbers.

Campos will be Rule 5 eligible for the second time after the 2022 season.
