Got into two games at the end of the GCL season.

2012

Myles opened 2012 in the GCL, which may show the Pirates aren’t convinced yet about his bat.  He hit for average and got on base well, but didn’t show any power.  He didn’t play after early August, apparently due to some injury.

2013

The Pirates sent Myles back to the GCL once its season opened, which wasn’t exactly a vote of confidence.  He hit about the same as he had the year before.  They moved him up to Jamestown in mid-July.  He didn’t hit quite as well there, but he drew a lot of walks.  He still didn’t take full advantage of his speed on the bases.

2014

With Austin Meadows hurt, Myles opened the season at West Virginia.  He played semi-regularly there until late June, then moved down to Bristol, where he also played semi-regularly.  At both locations he played strictly in left.  Myles hit very little, with no power, although he did show a willingness to take a walk.  He had severe problems with LHPs, posting just a .396 OPS against them.

Myles took a step backward in 2014.  Both Jamestown and the GCL Pirates had a lot of outfielders who look like at least potential prospects, so Myles may have trouble finding playing time anywhere in 2015.
