Welcome to the Pirates Prospects daily video rundown, where we pull some of the top videos of the Pittsburgh Pirates across the internet.
Daily Video Rundown
Travis Swaggerty
Looking at the fact that both Cole Tucker and Diego Castillo have spent time in right field, you’d probably find it hard pressed to believe that the Pirates have eight outfielders on their 40-man roster. One they’d really like to step up is Travis Swaggerty, who went through a rough April to begin the season.
While he still has a ways to go to build any kind of consistency, an RBI single always helps.

There’s also the defense, which is Swaggerty’s best trait. He gets to flash his arm a little bit as well.
You live and you learn.

Tucupita Marcano
The 22-year-old got the call and was able to make his Pirates debut this past week after Cole Tucker and Bryan Reynolds both went down with an illness, hitting a double.
He hasn’t had that same kind of success in Altoona (.227/.352/.318) but notched his second extra-base hit of the season with a two-run double to stretch the lead to three for the Curve.

Nick Gonzales
Say what you will at this point about Nick Gonzales, the strikeouts have been a concern and he hasn’t hit for as much power as you would like, but he does possess some of the fastest hands you will see.

At the very least, that makes it incredibly risky to throw a fastball in a location he got one on Tuesday, drilling it for a double.

It’s starting to become a common theme, having Peguero here but as long as he hits, it’s going to be hard not to show him.
