Pirates Game Discussion: Pirates vs Cubs, 12:35 PM; Thompson Leaves Early

The Pittsburgh Pirates (1-3) take on the Chicago Cubs (3-1) in the finale of a quick two-game series at PNC Park on Wednesday afternoon. Zach Thompson will be making his first regular season start for the Pirates since coming over in the Jacob Stallings trade. The Cubs will be going with veteran right-handed Kyle Hendricks, who allowed one run over 5.1 innings in his season debut.

UPDATE: Zach Thompson left after four innings due to taking a liner off of his back. Pirates said he had a right shoulder contusion.
