I want to say how happy I am about this week’s premium article drop.
Our top 30 prospect list led the way, with almost 7,000 words in the full rundown. Wilbur Miller and I added our analysis of the system, while John Dreker, Anthony Murphy, and Cody Potanko provided sleepers to follow beyond the top 30.
The Rankings page of the site has been updated with all of our individual top 30 lists, along with the site rankings and the new consensus top 30 prospects.
We’ve been doing this for a long time here at Pirates Prospects, spanning many different approaches for the site. My consistent goal is to make sure you have the best Pirates minor league coverage, and never any shortage of articles to read.
This year we started a weekly article drop, allowing us to do things like this, where we have a weekly issue of articles surrounding the same subject. The result? A ton of condensed prospect coverage for you to read, covering the system from top to bottom.
This weekly approach started on January 4th with an exclusive look at the new farm system and individualized development plans. When you buy a subscription to support Pirates Prospects, you’re paying for those weekly articles, meant to be the best we have to offer. Today marks the 14th week of that approach, or the start of the second quarter. We’re starting just as big this time with our top 30 prospect list, and plan to have plenty more in the weeks to come as minor league baseball kicks off.
On that note, please join we in welcoming good friend Ryan Palencer back to the site! Ryan was with us for several years as our Indianapolis Indians writer, and is joining us this year in the same role to cover a very interesting team. Ryan’s first report from Indianapolis went up yesterday, giving an injury update on Travis Swaggerty.
