Daily Video Rundown

Brenden Dixon

The 20th round pick out of the 2021 draft, Brenden Dixon signed last year in enough time to play 12 games in the Florida Complex League, hitting .313/.488/.594 with four extra base hits.

Getting assigned to the Bradenton Marauders to begin the 2022 season, Dixon has gotten off to fairly good start, going 3-for-10 in his first three games. Two of his three hits have gone for extra-bases, with a double and this monster home run he hit on Tuesday.

Henry Davis

The first overall pick of the 2021 draft, an injury limited Henry Davis to just eight professional games last year, six of which was with Greensboro.

Beginning the year with them again, Davis is now 4-for-14 on the season after hitting his first home run of the season against Winston-Salem on Tuesday.

A monster home run, a demonstration of the true power Davis possesses.

Maikol Escotto

Maybe the most impressive home run hit on the night was by Maikol Escotto. A lot of talk was had for Liover Peguero playing at High-A at 20 years old, Escotto won’t turn that till June. Both hits the young shortstop has this year has been home runs, including this mammoth opposite field shot that even the announcers lost track of while it exploded out the park.

Playing with Bradenton last year, Escotto hit seven home runs, putting him a very good pace to top that already this year.

Oneil Cruz

You probably couldn’t say it was a bad week for Oneil Cruz to open up the season, it’s just not the one we have come to expect from the super prospect.

He made up for it quickly, hitting two extra base hits in a rain shortened Tuesday game for the Indianapolis Indians, including legging out this triple.
