As I’m writing this, and wrapping up this week’s Pirates Prospects article drop, MLB and the MLBPA are getting closer to an agreement.
There will be no deal on a new collective-bargaining agreement in this early hour, sources tell ESPN. Enough progress was made that MLB and the MLBPA will meet again later today in hopes of finalizing one. Deadline to miss regular-season games has been moved to 5 p.m. today.

According to Jeff Passan, the two sides plan to meet later today, with MLB moving their self-imposed deadline to miss regular-season games to 5 p.m.
The two sides made a lot of progress toward a deal on Monday, and will now look to Tuesday to reach a deal.
