Pirates Release a Statement from Jung Ho Kang

Jung Ho Kang released a statement through the Pittsburgh Pirates on Friday afternoon in regards to his return to Major League Baseball. Here’s the full statement from the press release:

Alan Saunders had an article earlier this morning covering the reaction to the Pirates players in the clubhouse when they found out the news of Kang’s return. It was announced yesterday that he was granted his work visa.

John started working at Pirates Prospects in 2009, but his connection to the Pittsburgh Pirates started exactly 100 years earlier when Dots Miller debuted for the 1909 World Series champions. John was born in Kearny, NJ, two blocks from the house where Dots Miller grew up. From that hometown hero connection came a love of Pirates history, as well as the sport of baseball.
