The Pittsburgh Pirates have placed right-handed picture Joe Musgrove on the 10 day disabled list, the team announced today. The move is retroactive to March 30th and is due to a muscle strain in his right shoulder.
The Pirates have recalled right-handed pitcher Clay Holmes from Indianapolis. Holmes was with the team during Sunday’s doubleheader, but was returned after the second game.
Musgrove was originally scheduled to start on Thursday, but this move means he will miss that start. He won’t be eligible to return from the disabled list until a week from today.
