Notes: Gift’s defense is easily the best in the system. Unfortunately, he doesn’t project as a strong hitter, with questions about whether he can ever hit enough to arrive in the majors. He did a good job of hitting this week, but it was mostly singles, and no walks, which doesn’t profile well in the upper levels. With Adam Frazier now in Altoona, Gift will see less playing time going forward.
