Andrew McCutchen Leaves Game With Discomfort in His Left Ankle

Andrew McCutchen left tonight’s Pittsburgh Pirates game in the eighth inning due to left ankle discomfort, the team announced. McCutchen ended the top of the eighth inning by lining out to third base, then walked off the field and was replaced defensively in the bottom of the eighth inning.

No word yet on the situation. We’ll update if more information becomes available.
