Pirates Announce Scouting Department Changes

The Pittsburgh Pirates today announced the following changes within the Scouting Department. The announcement was made by Pirates Assistant General Manager Greg Smith.

On the Professional Scouting side, Dave Jauss has been named Major League Scout and Alvin Rittman, Jim Dedrick and Rob Guzik have been named Pro Scouts.

Within the International Scouting department, Juan Mercado has been named Latin American Supervisor and Victor Santana has been named Area Supervisor in the Dominican Republic.

On the Amateur Scouting side, Jim Asher has been promoted to Scouting Coordinator and Greg Schilz has been promoted to North Regional Supervisor. Former Bucco lefthander Matt Ruebel has been named National Supervisor and Sean Heffernan, Brian Selman and Mike Sansoe have been named Area Supervisors.
