2nd Annual Best Pittsburgh Sports Blog Tournament

Published:

I encourage everyone to check out the 2nd Annual Best Pittsburgh Sports Blog Tournament at Sean’s Ramblings. Today marks the beginning of Round One voting, which runs through 5 PM on Friday. Pittsburgh Lumber Co. has drawn a #7 seed for the second consecutive year. PLC again will be attempting to make a Cinderella run through the tournament. In 2009’s opening round, we fought valiantly against the heavily favored Empty Netters, but Seth Rorabaugh’s elite talent was simply too much to overcome. The Pensblog stormed through the field and was crowned the champion.

PLC has drawn another difficult opening round matchup this year, in the form of The Confluence. The Confluence is a Penguins blog run by Tony Ferrante that, like PLC, once resided on MVN. Tony has joined us for some Pirates Roundtables in the past, and I believe he also was a PLC columnist for a period before I came on board.

So head over to Sean’s Ramblings and vote for PLC. While you are there, be sure to check out some of the best sports blogs that Pittsburgh has to offer. Thanks to Sean for putting this together.
